The Magic of the Holidays: Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular 2018 Photo Recap

Have you read my critical review of this year’s Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall? If not, start here, and then enjoy my photo recap below!

Since 1933, the annual holiday show has thrilled international tourists and New York locals alike, staged live from Manhattan’s iconic Art Deco gem in Rockefeller Center.

Stepping back into RCMH always feels like coming home. Like millions of other visitors, it’s my favorite holiday tradition, along with saying hello to Rockefeller Center’s historic tree and skating rink, and the 5th Avenue department store windows dressed-up in holiday style like the iconic Saks Fifth Avenue.

It’s truly unforgettable, my old hood, the place where I learned how to high-kick hundreds of times in 90-minute matches, learned the rules of good sportsmanship, endurance, and sisterhood…and how to polish a lethal red lip to perfection!

Come Christmas, Rockefeller Center’s Rink and historic Christmas tree are must-sees before taking-in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for its precision dance numbers, its awesome special effects, and its legendary costumes.

Go skating at the Rink at Rockefeller Center and check out the Top of the Rock gift shop for the limited edition Gray Malin x Rockefeller Center Tree print and the new crystal ornaments by architect Daniel Libeskind, designer of the 2018 Swarovski Star. The 12 Christmas Angels are back in the Channel Gardens, too, leading the way to a breathtaking view of the tree.

From Top of the Rock 70 stories above Rockefeller Center, you can see from Central Park to infinity! A stone’s throw away, you’ve got MoMA’s treasury of modern art and St. Patrick’s Cathedral of high Gothic splendor.

Shop Radio City Music Hall’s proprietary store year-round for memorable Radio City and Rockettes souvenirs! The store’s on Sixth Avenue between 50th and 51st.
