Video Reportage and Interviews: Holiday Inn at Paper Mill Playhouse

At this exact time last week, I was at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn , New Jersey, enjoying the delightful opening night performance of Irving Berlin’s “Holiday Inn.”

Afterwards, I chatted with the talented, exuberant principal cast at Par 440 in Short Hills in the video above!

If you missed my critical review (loved it!), read it here!

The stage production of “Holiday Inn” is a two-act musical inspired by the music and lyrics of Irving Berlin’s classic 1942 Universal Pictures film starring Fred Astaire and Bing Crosby, a romantic comedy about two ex-showbiz friends toe-tapping for the same small-town girl set to the American holiday calendar.

Director Gordon Greenberg co-wrote the book with Chad Hodge, which first opened on Broadway in 2016 in a Roundabout Theater Company production that netted a Tony Award nomination for Best Choreography via its choreographer, Denis Jones.

The principal cast includes Paige Faure as Lila Dixon, Jordon Gelber as Danny, Ann Harada as Louise, Jeff Kready as Ted Hanover, Hayley Podschun as Linda Mason, Nicholas Rodriguez as Jim Hardy with Jian Harrell and Aidan Alberto alternating in the role of Charlie Winslow.

The Tony Award-winning regional theater in Millburn, NJ, under the producing artistic direction of Mark S. Hoebee, is currently celebrating its 80th anniversary season.

Enjoy!
