Tonight in Harlem, Mented Cosmetics celebrates its new collection of highly-pigmented lipsticks and lip liners at its Mattes + Liners Launch Party!
The black-owned luxury cosmetics brand, co-founded in Spring 2017 by Amanda E. Johnson and KJ Miller, believes in inclusive beauty with a conscience: its products are made in the USA, cruelty & paraben-free, non-toxic, and vegan.
Back in May, I test-drove its capsule collection of six glossy, essential nude-tone lipsticks and they’ve become my go-to neutrals.
The newest collection sources its nine highly-pigmented, signature, nude-tone lipsticks in a new velvety-matte, long-lasting, hydrating finish and a matching suite of lip liners to define, blend, and extend your lip color.
If you’re in the area, stop by from 6pm – 9pm to try the new matte finish, and meet the founders and its head make-up artist at the first floor gallery of the National Black Theatre on 2031 5th Avenue in Harlem.
I went to the last one, and in addition to the amazing, inclusive-beauty atmosphere, I snagged one of its sold-out cult classics, the Everyday Eyeshadow Pallete of nine gorgeous shimmery & matte nude hues, a showstopper that compliments multicultural skin tones.
